This week’s track is a high-impact carnival of awesome sauce.  Check it out and read about the process from co-composer Tony Aguirre!

SOS: What were your main influences for writing this song?
TA: I have a cat, his name is Dr Gonzo.  He is the hellspawn of satan.  For anyone who has not read the book or seen the movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Dr Gonzo (character) is an overweight, drug addled, Samoan attorney who is constantly lit with hallucinations and fits of illogical rage.  My cat is the same, except not Samoan.

SOS: Has this idea been in your head for a while or did you think it up especially for SOS?
TA: The main guitar riff is something I came up with in my hotel room while on tour in Arcata CA.  I had just bought a $35 pawn shop guitar and this melody came out!  The idea stayed in my head for a few months and I composed the rest of the tune around it.

SOS: Given that this is a collaboration, were there any surprises with the final production from how you envisioned it?
TA: Every time someone submits a track its like getting a present.  The song has evolved in such a unique way and I think that is wholly due to our amazing collaborators.

SOS: Do you have a website where our audience may go to hear more of your music?
TA:  Website is under construction!  For now follow me on twitter @TonyTransmitNow
